Cookie Policy

Effective 22 July 2026. This Policy explains how Vital Kitchen Journey uses cookies and similar browser technologies on vitalkitchenjourney.info and how you can control them.

This Cookie Policy forms part of the Vital Kitchen Journey privacy information and should be read with our Privacy Policy. We use a restrained approach to browser storage. Functional technology supports requested website behaviour and remembers the preference you make. Optional measurement, when enabled, helps us understand whether educational pages are useful without turning the website into an advertising profile.

This Policy applies when you visit pages on vitalkitchenjourney.info using a browser. It covers cookies, local storage and comparable technologies that store or retrieve a small value on your device. It does not cover information you deliberately type into a form, although the Privacy Policy explains how that form information is handled. It also does not govern cookies placed by an unrelated website you reach through an external link.

Vital Kitchen Journey is responsible for deciding which first-party website technologies are used. Our address is 27 Legazpi Street Legazpi Village Makati City Metro Manila 1229 Philippines, our telephone number is +63 2 8795 2846, and questions may be sent to [email protected].

A cookie is a small text record that a website asks a browser to retain. It may contain a randomly generated identifier, a preference, an expiry time or limited information about an interaction. A session cookie normally expires when the browser session ends. A persistent cookie remains until its stated expiry or until it is removed. A first-party cookie is associated with the domain being visited; a third-party cookie may be associated with another service whose content or functionality has been integrated.

Local storage is a browser feature that can retain a value without using the cookie transmission mechanism. This website uses local storage to remember the category you selected in the cookie preference banner. Similar technologies can include pixels, software development kits or device storage, although Vital Kitchen Journey does not intentionally deploy advertising pixels or cross-site tracking technologies on this website.

Functional technologies. These support an action you request or remember a necessary choice. Examples include keeping your cookie preference, enabling a form response to be presented correctly, maintaining basic navigation state and helping protect a form from obvious automated misuse. Some website operation may not work as expected if functional storage is blocked.

Limited measurement technologies. If enabled under your choice, these may help us understand counts and patterns such as which educational pages are viewed, the general device category, an approximate non-precise region, how a visitor arrived and whether a page produced a technical error. We use this information to improve lesson navigation, readability and editorial planning. We seek aggregated insight rather than a detailed personal history.

Preference technologies. These remember a voluntary presentation choice, such as the cookie category already selected. At present, preference storage is closely connected with functional operation. If additional appearance or accessibility preferences are added later, this Policy and the banner will be updated where appropriate.

Advertising technologies. We do not currently use cookies to create cross-site advertising profiles, retarget visitors or sell audience segments. If that position changes, advertising technology will not be treated as functional and will require a clear notice and appropriate choice before use.

The fixed preference banner offers “Accept All”, “Partial” and “Functional”. Accept All records permission for functional storage and optional limited measurement that is present on the site. Partial records a preference for functional storage plus only reduced or privacy-limited measurement made available by our configuration. Functional records a preference to use only storage necessary to provide requested operation and remember the selection.

The button selected is stored locally under a Vital Kitchen Journey preference key so the banner does not appear on every page. Choosing a button does not oblige us to activate a technology that is not otherwise deployed. A category may therefore have no active item at a particular time. We do not infer consent merely because you continue scrolling. Where consent is required, optional technology should respond to the expressed selection.

The table describes the intended website configuration and common supporting records. Browser developer tools may show additional short-lived technical values created by infrastructure. A provider may change a technical name without changing the stated purpose. We review the schedule and update material changes.

Optional analytics, where deployed, is intended to answer limited questions: whether visitors can find course information, which recipe categories are useful, where a technical page error occurs and whether mobile layouts are performing adequately. We do not use analytics to make decisions about eligibility for education, infer medical conditions or deliver financial or medical claims.

We configure measurement proportionately where the service permits, which may include reducing retention, avoiding precise location, limiting collected events, excluding free-text form content and reviewing administrative access. Analytics data may be combined into statistics that no longer identify a particular visitor. Aggregated statistics may be retained to compare the usefulness of educational topics over time.

A page may link to an external social network or other public resource. A normal link does not itself authorise that destination to place technology before you choose to visit it. If we later embed a video, map, social feed or learning widget, the external provider may receive device and request information needed to deliver the content and may use its own storage. We will assess whether prior choice is required and identify the relevant category.

Third-party services publish their own privacy and cookie information and may process information in other countries. Vital Kitchen Journey does not control a third party’s separate account settings. We avoid unnecessary embeds where an ordinary link or local content can provide the educational value with less data.

You can remove the vital-kitchen-consent value through the privacy, site-data or storage controls in your browser. After removal, reload the website and the banner should appear so a new choice can be made. You can also configure a browser to block all cookies, block third-party cookies, delete data when closing, send privacy signals or permit storage only for selected sites. Menus differ by browser and device, so use current help information supplied by the browser provider.

Blocking all browser storage may cause the banner to reappear, stop a preference from being remembered or reduce the reliability of certain requested features. It does not prevent ordinary server logs created when a page is requested. You may also use private browsing, although the protection and deletion behaviour depends on the browser. Cookie controls do not automatically unsubscribe an email address; use the withdrawal method in a journal email or contact us.

Some cookie or technical information may be personal information when it can identify or reasonably relate to an individual or device. In that case, the purposes, lawful grounds, security, retention, disclosure and rights described in our Privacy Policy apply. Depending on applicable conditions, rights may include information, access, objection, correction, erasure or blocking, portability, withdrawal of consent, damages where legally established and complaint to the National Privacy Commission.

To exercise a privacy right, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request”. Describe the relevant browser or interaction without sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to verify identity, and some technical data may not be reasonably linkable to a named person without additional information from that person.

We may update this Policy when technologies, providers, legal requirements or educational services change. The effective date will be revised. If a change introduces a materially different optional purpose, we will update the preference mechanism and seek a new choice where required rather than relying on an older selection for an unrelated purpose.

Questions about cookies or browser storage may be sent to [email protected], by telephone to +63 2 8795 2846, or by post to 27 Legazpi Street Legazpi Village Makati City Metro Manila 1229 Philippines. Include the device and browser type, the page involved and the approximate time of the issue if you are reporting unexpected behaviour. Privacy complaints can also be directed to the National Privacy Commission in accordance with its published procedures.
